Just finished "Ten Kids" and loved it, as I love all CL novels. The humor, the drama, the love all hit me in my heart, and I love it that the crummy people get what they deserve. Plus, you are a fine writer. Thank you for making me laugh and cry, and occasionally dream of revenge.
I totally get that Montana Love. It’s been in me for over 30 years. Come on down, as they say, to the Madison River! Gorgeous here and most places. Happy for your calm.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this this morning. I needed it. There’s something so relaxing and calming about the mountains and lakes/rivers. I’ve spent the last few days keeping up with the Ruidoso fires because we have a family cabin there, and I needed a break. Thank you for writing, so I could see all this in my mind (and for including pictures).
The Last Time I Was Me was the first of your books I read that got me hooked, and the one I always give others to read first. It's poignant, funny, all too human and sooo smart! Hilarious! I love your imagination and how it works-- born of an X-Atype personality (who's really an introvert). I understand each of your creations costs you untold energy. I can only say from where I stand --- thank you and your family for the costs. I love your work andd eageerly await each new offering. Here's hoping Montana provides unending inspiration!
Oh Cathy, I smiled and laughed and related through every word of this (except your aversion to getting up early—it’s 6 am here and I’ve already done a 45-minute French lesson while having coffee, and there’s nothing I like more than starting a road trip early in the morning). I have missed your voice!

Ann, thanks so much for your note! I'm glad you laughed and cried. I laughed and cried, too. I laughed at your comment about revenge, too - I relate!!
