Oh yes. I had such fun giving the soon to be ex-husband his comeuppance. I actually cackled in a mean way when writing those scenes. That was truly fun. That character was based off someone I knew years ago.

I like you even more! Horrible people deserve way worse than they ever get, sadly. I'd like to see them really pay. Thanks for sharing that!

The thing I told all my family and friends to get them to read Ten Kids ... was that they'd love how the ex gets his comeuppance so many times. SO many times. None of us even has an ex, but we all love that.

I love this post so much! I read Julia’s Chocolate's years ago and have since devoured every book you have written. You have been my favorite author and now I like you even more 🥰

I think this post make you even more amazing and human. I have found out in the past year that I am a grunge holder and a bit petty. I am working on it but I get the vengeful thing. I bet writing it was cathartic. Good for you!!

Is holding a grudge the same as being vindictive? If so, I am a champion! Not towards me but you don’t mess with my children. I live in the Midwest but grew up in NJ. My family and friends lovingly call it my “East Coast Attitude”. Just don’t f*** with those I love-be kind or go away!

I saw Mary Higgins Clark speak in Los Angeles and she said she would do the same thing in her books!

I loved Mary Higgins Clark. That's hilarious that she did the same thing in her books. A lot of writers will take someone who has been awful and just dump the whole person into a book. That awful person is EXACTLY like the person in the book. I laugh just thinking about it - but I've never done it.
